Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Bayo Wildlife Safari, we know that planning a trip to Tanzania is a big commitment. While we always do our best to accommodate changes, certain costs are non-refundable once bookings are confirmed. Below is our official refund and cancellation policy for all safari bookings.
Booking & Payment Terms
- A 30% deposit is required to confirm all safari bookings.
- The final balance is due 60 days before your safari start date.
- Bookings made less than 60 days before travel must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your safari, the following refund schedule applies:

| More than 60 days before arrival | 70% refund (deposit retained) |
| 30–59 days before arrival | 50% refund |
| 15–29 days before arrival | 25% refund |
| 14 days or fewer | No refund |
All refunds are processed minus any non-recoverable costs such as permits, internal flights, or third-party bookings.
Changes & Rescheduling
- We offer one free date change if requested at least 45 days before your scheduled start date.
- Changes made within 45 days may be subject to additional charges or availability limits.
- Rescheduling is subject to rate differences if the new dates fall in a different season or pricing tier.
No-Shows and Early Departures
- No refunds will be given for missed days, early departures, or no-shows.
- We highly recommend confirming your flight details carefully and arriving on time for scheduled departures.
Force Majeure (Events Beyond Our Control)
In the event of extraordinary circumstances such as natural disasters, political unrest, border closures, pandemics, or other events beyond our control, we will do our best to reschedule your trip or provide a partial refund, depending on the situation and the recoverable costs. We cannot guarantee a full refund in these cases.
Travel Insurance
Bayo Wildlife Safari strongly recommends purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
- Trip cancellation or interruption
- Delayed or missed flights
- Medical emergencies
- Lost luggage
We are not responsible for any additional costs caused by delays, cancellations, or medical situations during your safari.
