Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Bayo Wildlife Safari. By booking a safari with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. Please read them carefully, and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions.

1. Booking & Confirmation

A safari booking is confirmed when we receive:

  • A 30% deposit of the total trip cost, and

  • A written or digital confirmation from Bayo Wildlife Safari.

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you’ve read and accepted these terms.

2. Payment Policy

  • Deposit: 30% of the total trip cost due at booking

  • Final Payment: Due no later than 60 days before your safari start date

  • Bookings made less than 60 days before travel require full payment upfront

Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation of your booking, with applicable fees.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

If you cancel your trip, the following refund policy applies:

Notice Given Refund
More than 60 days 70% refund (deposit retained)
30–59 days 50% refund
15–29 days 25% refund
14 days or fewer No refund

Refunds are issued minus non-recoverable costs (permits, flights, third-party bookings). See our Refund Policy for full details.

4. Changes & Rescheduling

  • One date change is allowed free of charge if made at least 45 days in advance, subject to availability.

  • Rescheduling within 45 days may incur extra fees depending on season or partner policies.

  • Bayo Wildlife Safari reserves the right to adjust itinerary details due to weather, safety, or logistics.

5. Inclusions & Exclusions

Your safari cost typically includes:

  • All park fees and permits

  • Accommodation, meals, and bottled water during safari

  • Private guide, game drives, and vehicle transport

  • Internal transfers as stated in itinerary

Unless otherwise specified, the following are not included:

  • International flights

  • Travel insurance

  • Visas and personal expenses

  • Tips and gratuities

  • Alcoholic beverages and optional excursions

6. Health, Medical & Insurance Requirements

  • It is your responsibility to ensure you are in good health and fit to travel.

  • You must inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or special dietary needs.

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended, covering trip interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation, and lost luggage.

Bayo Wildlife Safari is not liable for injury, illness, or delays caused by personal medical issues.

7. Visas & Entry Requirements

You are responsible for obtaining and carrying the correct documentation for entry into Tanzania, including:

  • A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)

  • A tourist visa (available online or on arrival for most travelers)

Failure to obtain the proper documents may result in denied entry without refund.

8. Liability & Assumption of Risk

Travel in Tanzania especially in wildlife areas carries inherent risks. By booking a safari, you accept the following:

  • Bayo Wildlife Safari is not liable for loss, injury, death, damage, or delay resulting from acts of nature, wildlife, government action, strikes, weather, or events beyond our control.

  • While our guides follow strict safety protocols, wildlife encounters and off-road travel come with risk.

  • You assume full responsibility for your safety and behavior during the safari.

9. Force Majeure

Bayo Wildlife Safari is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events outside our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Civil unrest

  • Pandemics or government travel restrictions

  • Airline disruptions

In such cases, we will work to postpone or reschedule your trip wherever possible.

10. Complaints & Disputes

If you experience any problems during your safari, notify your guide or our team immediately so we can address it on the spot. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of your safari ending.

11. Use of Photos & Testimonials

By participating in a safari, you grant Bayo Wildlife Safari permission to use any group photos, videos, or testimonials for marketing purposes, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any legal disputes shall be resolved under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
