07:30 AM – Pick-Up from Hotel in Arusha
Your guide will collect you from your accommodation for a short, scenic drive to Arusha National Park. Along the way, enjoy views of Mount Meru and rural Tanzania.
08:15 AM – Enter Arusha National Park & Begin Game Drive
Begin your safari through the forested slopes of Mount Meru. Look out for colobus monkeys, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, bushbucks, and various antelope species. The forest here also shelters leopards and hyenas, although they are more elusive.
10:30 AM – Visit to Momella Lakes
The alkaline Momella Lakes are ideal for birdwatching. You may see flamingos, cormorants, kingfishers, and more than 400 other bird species. This is also a great spot for photography with Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro sometimes visible on clear days.
11:30 AM – Optional Walking Safari or Canoeing (If Pre-Booked)
Stretch your legs with a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger — a unique way to explore the landscape on foot and see animals at eye level. Alternatively, enjoy a peaceful canoe safari on one of the lakes (seasonal and pre-arranged).
01:00 PM – Picnic Lunch in the Park
Enjoy a packed lunch in a scenic picnic site surrounded by nature.
02:00 PM – Final Game Drive or Short Hike (Optional)
Explore the park's northern end or visit the Ngurdoto Crater Rim, known as the “Little Ngorongoro,” with panoramic views and rich vegetation.
03:30 PM – Return to Arusha
Start the short drive back to Arusha town.
04:30 PM – Drop-Off at Hotel
You’ll be back at your hotel by late afternoon, refreshed by a day of nature and wildlife.
